Protecting your data is a very important concern to us

 

In what follows we would like to inform you that personal information will be requested from you and will be electronically stored. Your customer data shall be retained and handled by us in compliance with the relevant regulations from the Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act.

We shall use the personal information you give us to fulfil and process your order.

By signing up for our newsletter, your email address will be used for our promotional purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

 

1. Obtaining and processing data

Access to our homepage and retrieval of files stored on the homepage and the online shop are logged. Storage serves internal, system-related and statistical purposes. The following is logged: The browser type/version, the operating system used, the referral URL (the site visited previously), the host name of the computer you are using to access the site (IP address); the time of the server request. Further personal data shall only be recorded if you volunteer this information as part of an order or registration, for example.

2. Use and transmission of personal data

Your personal data will be stored within the company for responding to your queries, managing your customer account, executing contracts concluded with you and any proceedings associated with this.

Your personal data shall only be transmitted to third parties or otherwise transferred if this is required for the purpose of processing a contract, and in particular for the purpose of transmitting order data to suppliers, if this is required for accounting purposes or you have agreed to this in advance. In these cases we limit the scope of the information we transmit to the bare minimum. You can revoke your approval for the transmission of your information at any time in the future.

A transfer to third parties to the contract (e.g. the authorities) shall only take place if there is a legal obligation to do so. Furthermore, under no circumstances will we transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes unless anything otherwise is agreed in the following.

 

3. Analysis of use of the website:

This website uses Piwik, an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. Piwik uses so-called “cookies”, text files stored on your computer, which facilitate an analysis of your use of the website. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website are saved on the provider's server in Germany. The IP address is anonymised directly after processing and before being saved. You can prevent the installation of cookies via the corresponding setting in your browser software. 4. Use of social plugins

a) Facebook

Our internet presence uses social plugins of the social network “Facebook”, (Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA www.facebook.com).

When you visit a page of our website that contains such a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. With this integration of the plugin, Facebook or Twitter receives information about your IP address and can save this. If, in addition, you are logged into Facebook whilst visiting our website, Facebook can assign this as well as submissions you make through the plugin (for example clicking the “like” button) to your user account with them.

b) Twitter

When you visit a page of our website that contains such a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Twitter servers. With this integration of the plugin, Twitter receives information about your IP address and can save this. If, in addition, you are logged into Twitter whilst visiting our site, Twitter can assign this as well as submissions you make through the plugin (for example using Twitter’s retweet function) to your user account with them.

d) Google Plus

The “+1” button from the Google Plus social network from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States, (“Google”) is also used on the website. When you access a page of our internet site which has this “+1” button, a connection to the Google servers is made and the button is displayed on the internet site through communication with your browser. Through this, the Google servers will be informed of which of our internet pages you have visited. The “+1” button is not used to record your visits on the Internet. When displaying a “+1” button, Google does not conduct a lengthy check of your browsing history and does not analyse your visit to a site with a “+1” button in any other way. Google stores information regarding your visit for system maintenance and troubleshooting purposes for approximately two weeks. This information is however not structured according to individual profiles, usernames or URLs and will not be forwarded to us. If you are logged into Google Plus and use the “+1” button, Google shall record information about your Google profile and the URL recommended by you, your IP address and other browser-related information. If you withdraw your “+1”, this information will be deleted. If you have made your profile publicly accessible in the Google Plus options, your “+1”s from Google may show up as information, along with your profile name and photo in Google services, such as search results or in your Google profile, or may appear on websites and advertisements in other places.

When logged in, an immediate assignment of the information to your Google+ profile is possible. Logging out of Google + prevents assigning data to your Google+ profile.

 

5. Cookies

The website uses so-called 'cookies' in several places. Cookies do not contain viruses and will not harm your computer. They are used to make our sites more user-friendly, effectiveand, in particular, more secure. Cookies are small text files which your browser stores on your computer. Some of the cookies used by us are deleted after closing your browser (so-called "session cookies”). Other cookies remain on your computer (so-called “persistent cookies”).
