Batteries are provided for the operation of remote controls as part of the delivery of many devices. Batteries may also be permanently installed in the devices. In conjunction with the sale of batteries, as a retailer we are required under the Battery Directive to make our customers aware of the following:

Please dispose of used batteries as defined by law. Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste according to the Battery Directive. Please dispose of them at a municipal collection point or return them free of charge to your local retailer. You can return any batteries you receive from us free of charge after use to the following address or return them to us by post.

Taubenreuther GmbH
Am Schwimmbad 8
95326 Kulmbach

Batteries containing harmful substances are identified with the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin similar to the symbol image on the left. Beneath the dustbin symbol there is the chemical reference for the harmful substance- in the example to the left, "Cd" for cadmium. "Pb" stands for lead, "Hg" for mercury.
This guidance can also be found in the documents accompanying the goods delivery or in the instruction manual from the manufacturer.

Further guidance on the Battery Directive can be found
at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety or in a
download of the Battery Directive (24 KB).
